What this checker does
This is the metadata-bundle equivalent of the field counters: paste your full title, subtitle, and 100-character keyword field, and get a single audit covering character limits, keyword field hygiene, and cross-field duplication. It catches the mechanical issues that cause keywords to not be indexed and characters to be wasted, before App Store Connect catches them.
The checker runs locally in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
What it audits
| Check | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Title length (30 chars) | Apple's hard limit. Anything over it has to be trimmed. |
| Subtitle length (30 chars) | Same hard limit. |
| Keyword field length (100 chars) | Apple's hard limit. Terms past 100 characters are wasted. |
| Spaces after commas in keyword field | Apple recommends no spaces. Spaces eat your 100-character budget. |
| Empty entries in keyword field | Double commas and trailing commas add no ranking signal. |
| Duplicate terms inside keyword field | Repeats waste characters with no upside. |
| Cross-field duplication | Apple says not to repeat keyword field words already in your title or subtitle. |
What this checker does not do
This is a mechanical audit. It checks structure, not strength. It does not score the popularity of your keywords, evaluate competitor difficulty, or compare your bundle against Top 10 ranking apps. For those, use:
- RespectASO free edition for keyword popularity, difficulty, and Country Opportunity Finder.
- RespectASO Pro for the ASO Score Simulator, which evaluates a full metadata bundle against scoring and competitor context.
- Diagnose: keywords not indexing if a specific keyword you'd expect to be indexed isn't showing up.
Where this fits in the workflow
- Research and shortlist keywords with multi-keyword search in RespectASO.
- Draft the title, subtitle, and keyword field that uses your shortlist.
- Paste all three into this checker. Fix every flagged issue.
- (Pro) Run the bundle through the ASO Score Simulator for a strength score.
- Ship the metadata in your next release and track ranks.

FAQ
Why aren't I shown a strength score?
Strength depends on keyword popularity, difficulty, and competitor context — data that lives in the RespectASO app and changes over time. The mechanical checks here don't depend on live data, which is why they can run instantly in your browser.
Should I avoid every duplicate?
Yes for cross-field duplicates. Apple's guidance is to not repeat keyword field words that already appear in your title or subtitle. Inside the keyword field itself, duplicates also waste the 100-character budget without adding ranking signal.
Does the checker handle non-English locales?
The mechanical limits and rules apply across locales. If you're auditing a localized bundle, paste the localized title, subtitle, and keyword field for that locale — not the en-US version.
Pair the checker with full keyword research
Use this audit to fix mechanics, then download RespectASO to research stronger replacement terms and validate your bundle before the next release.
