Getting Started
Get RespectASO running and perform your first keyword search in under 5 minutes.
Start with the macOS app
Download the .dmg, drag RespectASO to Applications, and begin keyword research without creating an account.
Download for macOS1. Install RespectASO
RespectASO is a macOS desktop app (requires Apple Silicon — M1 or later). Download the latest .dmg from the download page or from GitHub Releases.
- Open the
.dmgfile - Drag RespectASO into your Applications folder
- Launch from Applications (or Spotlight)
On first launch, macOS may show a security prompt. Right-click the app → Open, then click Open again to allow it.
2. Add Your App
Navigate to the Apps tab and search for your iOS app by name or App Store URL. Select it from the results to add it to your tracked apps.
You can track multiple apps. Each app stores its own keyword history independently.
3. Search Keywords
Go to the Dashboard and enter one or more keywords (up to 20, comma-separated) in the search bar. Choose up to 5 target countries and click Search.
RespectASO will return:
- Difficulty Score — how hard it is to rank for this keyword (1–100, 7-factor algorithm)
- Popularity — estimated search volume indicator (5–100, 6-signal model)
- Insight Tag — automatic classification: Sweet Spot, Hidden Gem, Low Volume, etc.
- Top Results — the top 10 apps currently ranking for this keyword
- Your Rank — where your tracked app ranks (if applicable)
4. Track Keywords
Keywords you search are automatically saved to your history. You can:
- Refresh individual keywords to get updated rankings
- Bulk refresh all tracked keywords at once
- Export your keyword history as CSV
- Delete keywords you no longer want to track
5. Explore Opportunities
The Opportunity page is a Country Opportunity Finder. Enter a single keyword and it scans all 30 supported App Store countries simultaneously, calculating an Opportunity Score for each market. It highlights the country where your keyword has the best combination of high popularity and low difficulty.
